7 Things To Do This Weekend And Support Local Businesses
There’s always plenty to do around the picture province. We’ve highlighted a few things you can try out this weekend from family time to tattoos to getting lost in a corn maze, eek! Get out there New Brunswickers and enjoy!
1) Hub City Tattoo Expo
Tattoos, music, fire breathing and snakes. Contained snakes. Stop by and see some the of the country’s best tattoo artists. 2) Hunter Brothers Farm Market
Corn! Hunter Brothers is in full fall festival swing every weekend until the end of October. A corn maze honoring the awesome Terry Fox, wagon tours, pedal karts, petting farm, straw castle, and soooo much more. Saturday and Sundays 12-6p.m.
3) Uncorked Wine Tours
Albert County Fundy Wine and Art Tour. Did you know that Albert County has a long artisan heritage? This tour includes tours of artisan studios, herb garden, shopping, wineries and of course the fundy coast in all its beauty. Sunday Oct 4th, 12-5p.m.
4) Red Rover Cider
It’s in season and awesome. Visit any of these super farmers markets this weekend and pick up a flagon. And maybe some other awesome market goodies while your at it. Queen Square Market in Saint John, Farmers Market in St. Andrews, Kingston Farmers Market, Boyce Farmers Market in Fredericton.
5) River& Trails & Ales
River & Trail Outdoor Company, Hammond River Brewing Company, Saint John Ale House are teaming together to host a 12.2km or 5.2km run through the gorgeous Rockwood Park in Saint John. Cheer on runners or participate yourself! Saturday Oct 3rd at 10a.m.
Beautiful, natural and organic skin care. Good for you and the environment. This successful homegrown Sackville company sells all over Canada, but you can pick up yours this weekend at the Sackville Farmers Market. Market runs Saturdays 9a.m.-12p.m.
7) Apples everywhere. It’s pickin’ time!
Visit one of these great New Brunswick apple farms this weekend and pick some delish treats right from the tree and have some good old fashioned family fun while you’re at it.
