MONCTON – Nordia Inc. will create 275 jobs in its Moncton customer service call centre with the support of the provincial government. The company says it will also be announcing new jobs for its Saint John operation tomorrow, September 11.
The new jobs will be created over the next three years. Opportunities NB is providing the company with a payroll rebate of up to $853,125. According to the provincial government, the investment in both locations will increase New Brunswick’s GDP by about $17.7 million annually.
“The key to Nordia’s success is attracting and retaining the most skilled and passionate customer service representatives,” said John DiNardo, president and CEO of Nordia. “That is why we chose New Brunswick and have invested more than $5.1 million in upgrading and expanding our centres in Moncton and Saint John in the past year.”
Established in 1999, Nordia currently has 157 employees in New Brunswick, part of a total workforce of 4,100 people across 12 customer service centres in Canada.
“People want to work in New Brunswick, that is why we are focused on creating jobs,” said Premier Brian Gallant. “We are excited to see this major expansion by Nordia, which will bring new jobs and investment to the province.”
